Glossary
Terms used across the documentation.
- Cell
- A fixed-size unit of encrypted traffic on the stealth network.
- Cover traffic
- Dummy traffic sent to hide when real activity happens.
- Correlation attack
- Linking traffic entering and leaving a network by its timing and volume.
- Epoch
- The time window for which routes, node sets and temporary identifiers are valid.
- Ephemeral
- Created for a limited time, then destroyed rather than reused.
- Exit
- The last relay on a path, which talks to the destination service.
- Fragment
- A piece of encrypted data. Enough fragments rebuild the original; one alone reveals nothing.
- Metadata
- Data about communication: who, when, where, how much. Not the content itself.
- Orchestration core
- The RAVID layer that schedules change across the network.
- Path
- The sequence of relays a client's traffic passes through.
- Relay
- A node that forwards encrypted traffic and knows only its neighbours on a path.
- RAVID
- The engine inside MYTHASE that coordinates routing, infrastructure and storage.
- Rotation
- Retiring and replacing paths, nodes or identifiers on schedule.
